No question it was bad. Replaced it, and all was well. In March, just two months ago, P0090 pops up again.Condition/Concern: A dealer may need to perform a repair on the rubber portion of the fuel supply (suction) lines. The rubber section of the line could become kinked or collapse. P0094 or P1094 show a slight difference but enough to throw a code. P0093 or P1093 mean there is a large difference between the desired and actual rail pressures. I tried replacing the mid harness and replacing the fuel pressure regulator. Truck starts up and sounds like its knocking then alms down a bit and sounds like a lb7 but fuel rail pressure stays around 20-23k there is no demand for it as the truck is idling. It's in limp at 2k hits a rev limiter. According to the Service manual it says: Circuit Description: The ECM monitors the condition of the ignition relay control circuit. What I would do is check the wiring from the coolant sensor all the way back to the main harness. Use a multimeter and verify you have continuity from the connector at the sensor all the way back to the main bail connector that sits above the hardline coolant hose (the one that connects to your thermostat housing).This harness chaffing could cause shorting of any number of circuits to ground. Due to the number of circuits in the harness, there is a wide variety of different symptoms that could occur depending on which circuit(s) are damaged. Cause 3. Got some codes and ended up pulling the turbo and giving the vanes a good deep clean, put it back together and they were nice and smooth. P0089 and P0090 FOUND IT!! The connector to the fuel rail regulator had a wire pushed out!!! The way it works is the computer LOWERS the fuel pressure. So an open circuit doesnt signal the solenoid to lower the fuel pressure. pressure was maxed out, over 20000 mpa. ran like crap. made funny metalic noise too.. Carrie underwood lip injections
I had the code read at Auto Zone. They said it had to do with fuel pressure control/performance. The code #P0089 says the fuel pressure solenoid control circuit voltage is implausible. I kept getting code U0105, and the ECU fuse would blow every time I would turn the key. Cranks, no start. I isolated it to the wiring harness, and sure enough there was a spot where a metal bracket had worn through the wiring harness.DTC P0090 is a Type A DTC.
